The European Spa Summit is a gathering of hospitality industry professionals who are required to position themselves today in terms of spa development.

In 2007, this event, which was totally new in the European spa sector, attempted to deal with subjects concerning the setting up and development of hotel spas. How to design, develop, manage and make a spa profitable.

International experts, spa professionals, owners, architects, developers and consultants took turns presenting and sharing their successful experiences. On the first day, Raoul ANDREWS SUDRE, president and CEO of Aspen Spa Management, Jean Louis POIROUX, founder of Cinq Mondes spas and Dr Mike SMITH, founder of Agape Resort, among others, talked about setting up spas, from concept to finished product. The second day was devoted to management, training, service, recruitment, evaluation criteria and to marketing, with talks given by Frédéric GOLINSKI, head of Les Barmes de L’Ours hotel in Val d’Isère and Leonardo INGHILLERI, vice president of West Paces Consulting.

On 4 and 5 October 2008, the next European Spa Summit promises to deal with the various secrets to spa profitability in the hotel sector, through practical case presentations and very concrete solutions. How to turn a spa into a profit center. How to exploit new trends. This program, richly interesting in terms of subjects and experts, is to be discovered in detail starting in June.

The European Spa Summit 2008 will be oriented to “operations and networking” through theme breakfasts with advance registration required, and through 2 cocktails.
